Pre-delivery requests for dealer?

Hi guys,

My delivery date has been moved forward to next week! So I'm preparing a list of pre-delivery requests to make to my dealer so everything goes smoothly on delivery day.

1. M floor mats.
2. Minimum delivery miles please
3. Any prep to be done without sponges!
4. IPOD/USB cable.
5. 2008 Navigation DVD.
6. No advertising stickers (although I'm thinking that I probably won't mind them using one of their tax disc holders)

I was wondering if anyone has anything else I should add to this list please?

I personally prefer the look and if he is going for a clean look with no dealer stickers it might be nice.

How about a crystal vase filled with blue M&Ms and a glass of chilled champagne?

That's what I got when I collected my E90, plus the customary pipe, slippers and leather driving gloves on the drivers seat... Absolute class...

My dealer arranged for Roger Whittaker to whistle Danny Boy whilst we did the paperwork.

I also insisted that they get Terry Wogan and the Brighouse and Rastrick Brass Band to perform the floral dance as I drove off.

Well...
  1. Floor mats are standard now I believe.
  2. The mileage will be what it will be.
  3. The PDI guys will just follow their standard procedure.
  4. If you haven't done a deal on the cable already get ready to have to buy one.
  5. The nav DVD will be the current issue.
  6. The stickers is about the only thing they can control (even if the sales guy pulls them off before you get there).

Really, the week before taking delivery is leaving it a bit late to become a picky sod. My sales guy knew I was like that before I'd placed the order.

What might be more worth doing is giving the salesman a call and telling him you want to come down as soon as they have the car actually on site to take a look over for any defects before you roll up and find something amiss. You could at least then make sure the right toys are onboard and that cosmetically it's ok.

That's only available when you buy a VW Beetle

Shame your dealer could only get Roger Whittaker and not Des O'Connor as well to do the Skye Boat Song. I had Bob Carolgees and Spit the Dog at my collection. The car was in mint condition apart from some Spit on the bonnet. Naturally I accused on Bob Carolgees of the offending stain. Spit would never do such a thing...

Luckily there was no sign of Cilla jumping out and saying Surprise Surprise! Unless she's still locked in my boot and couldn't get out...

Damn .. I should have asked for Bob Carolgees.

Or maybe even Ray Allen and Lord Charles.

Audi always arrange a ventriloquist for vehicle collections. They really understand customer service.

LMAO - I dont think the words 'Audi' and 'Customer Service' can be used in the same sentence - after some of the awful experiences i have had with them.

Here, here. Audi have not heard of customer service. I hope BMW are better, I will be devastated if they are not.

Those of us at UK1 weren't as fortunate. But we've all come to appreciate that of you, Matt.
