As promised I’m here to report back. Sadly I ended up selling the E90 335i a couple months ago, nevertheless I have a decent idea about how those Koni Special Actives were doing. They were really great and the oem bump stops performed just fine with no crashing. I think those that had issues probably had the XI 4 wheel drive maybe the combination of the older Koni FSD(old version of Special Actives) combined with the XI. Anyways the Special Actives really did make the ride considerably better then the Bilstein B12’s Pro Kit. This is purely from a comfort stand point. I don’t doubt that the Bilsteins B12’s are more durable. At end I just was never completely satisfied with the comfort and that probably because I’m just too old for a E90 and have gone back to a more comfortable car that I am more use to. I will say though that at high speeds the weight of the BMW cars really help keep the car very composed and I do miss that. If any new member has any remaining questions I will gladly try to help. Just message me 👍🏼 |
