is pumping noise when strut compressed normal?

Just as I replaced rear shocks and car started to handle well, my car is back at driving in dry like its wet again. One of the front struts making pumping noise, I suspect it to be the cause as pretty much everything else already been replaced, although it was making this noise for a while now perhaps it hasn't progressed enough to show handling symptoms in the past.

Video:https://streamable.com/dw7o1g (only right strut is making this noise, I believe left one was replaced by previous owner to pass MOT before sale.)

Things recently replaced:
  1. Upper and lower control arms,
  2. Stabilizer links & Tie rods
  3. Rear rose bushings
  4. Rear shocks including bushings.

In my opinion if 2 struts need changing then 4 struts need changing. You are doing the handling no favours by having 2 fresh firm struts and 2 older struts.
The noise is not usually normal. My wife's suv struts make that noise but they are in need of replacing.
I would get the matching struts for both front corners with whatever you used on the back .

Well both rear shocks have been replaced and imo one of the front struts been replaced to pass mot before sale so only 1 needs changing the one that makes this noise
