JL audio cleansweep
Dear all,
I have a pre LCi E93 with a Base audio and CiC idrive professional sat nav Following the path of so many others, I have uprated the door speakers, and subs, and added tweeters (Vibe Prosound kit), all powered by a Helix Dfour amp. I've recoded my HU to Hifi and recoded the stereo version to 2. Have I missed anything? Despite these efforts, I am still not happy with the sound. Missing bass and balance, however I choose to alter the amp settings. Like others, I'm disappointed. I understand that the HU is not sending a full range signal out (was to the speakers, now to the amp). Has anyone used the JL audio 'cleansweep' to improve the HU signal? That's what I've seen used by some people, but there may be alternatives? Is there a 'how to' anywhere? Am I wasting my time? Any, and all, advice gratefully received Thanks Ian |

Hi. Bit of a late reply but I would go for something like the JL audio FIX82 or FIX86, which will give you a flat full range signal to work with, keep in mind that you'll need a TWK88 down the line before the amplifier in order to further customise the sound and will help you to create proper crossovers and correct the acoustic anomalies. Alternatively, you could try the Audison BIT Nove, which will correct the signal and help customise. Have you already bought the clean sweep? It's pretty dated in terms of what it'll offer. I have the TWK88 myself.
