Quick Question about Spark Plugs and Coils
Hi everyone! Thanks in advance.
My car: 2008 bmw e93 with 80k miles, N51 engine Cylinder 5 misfired recently and the shop fixed it by replacing coil #5. Now, all my coils were brand new delphi coils, which I changed in Jan 2019. I purchased them from fcp euro. I asked the shop why it went bad so fast. They told me that my spark plugs are still oem, and they make the coils work harder. So the spark plugs need to be replaced to ease the amount of work the coils need to do. So 2 questions: 1. Should I change all my spark plugs. Which one is the best here: https://www.fcpeuro.com/BMW-parts/32...b=10&d=1051&v= 2. Do i bother asking FCP euro for warranty? I think its just 20 bucks a coil, is it worth it at all? Paid 350 to the shop to replace it. Thanks! |

The NGK's at the top.
What state are you currently in? That N51 has a 15 year 150000 mile warranty depending on the state you are in. |
