How to repair my leather?

Hey All,

My car has less than 2k miles on it and has some minor tears in the leather

Freaking sadface, right?

Well, I'd like to fix it if I can. The tears don't go all the way through so they are more like deep scuffs I suppose.

When I put leather stuff on I could barely make out where the damage was but once it dried, it looked just like before I put it on.

Anyone know what to do for this?

Thanks!

Oh yeah, how often should I use leather stuff on the seats?

Thanks again

You can go to your detailer and they can have a leather guy come out and fix the tears. Its more like a patch fix, but I would do it to insure it does not keep tearing. They do a good job, and you have to get really close to see where it was repaired.

You can also find one on your own if you look around a bit.

Cool, thanks!

I don't have a detailer, I've been doing it myself and learning as I go

Yeah, you can get a leather repair guy. Something like this: http://www.leathermedic.com/lm_automotive.html

I had a bottle of degreaser leak on the passenger seat of my 323i a number of years ago and it took off the surface texture of the leather. I had a guy come out an he kind of airbrushed the color and texture on the seat. It was less than $100, IIRC.

Edit: Better yet, here's one in your area: http://www.denttime.com/auto-leather-repair.htm

My bad guys. I meant dealership not detailer. Sure you can hit up a detailer and they can point you in the right direction, but you can also tell your dealership and they can have someone come while your car is in for service.
