e92 330xd Oil Service (Red) not resetting - manual or via interface
Hi,
I need help with 2007 e92 330xd currently at around 220000km (136000 miles). I can reset Oil Service fine - both with manual procedure or with obd2 interface (ISTA - CBS Reset). After one ignition cycle Oil Service red warning appears again on dash and iDrive. I've recently replaced battery and tried to code it - adaptation goes fine but again after one ignition cycle values get reset. ISTA fault codes (I consider first 4 codes relevant but including others) 004121 DDE: DDE main relay - at 0km 004992 DDE: Message (instrument cluster, 0x1B4) - at 220 000km 005F4B DSC: Instrument cluster interface - at 220 000km 004A18 DDE: Alternator - at 220 000km 00A6CF JBE: AUC sensor - at 220 000km 00A6D1 JBE: Auxiliary-water pump - at 220 000km 00452A DDE: Info - particulate-filter system - at 220 000km 004587 DDE: Fuel filter - at 220 000km 004667 DDE: Particulate-filter system - at 220 000km What is going on? Any ideas where to look? |

The oil counter is a down counter and it starts in the 30's.
When it get's to the end of a down count you can't reset it anymore. There is a BMW software fix that disables the counter. Pretty dumb and frustrating right. https://www.bimmerfest.com/threads/o...my-e90.987146/ More threads like the one above if you search for them. such as http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...=1#post8782350 Last edited by ctuna; 01-12-2021 at 11:31 PM.. |

Thanks for reply ctuna,
I've read through similar threads - they all seem to mention non diesel engines, does same apply to diesel? ISTA-D has procedure to disable CBS oil check altogether but description specifically mentions to do this only after 300k km mileage - would like to avoid this. Is there a way to get rid of this with Tool32 coding? |
