BMW E91 330D N75 Fuel tank not clicking on full tank overfill ?

Hi all,

New here, for the last 2 time i top up full tank i noticed the click when the tank get full does not work so it will just over fill, is this an common problem or just a faulty pump i gone to twice ?

was it the same pump this happened at?

Pretty sure the overfill click is nothing to do with the car but the nozzle's safety mechanism.

hi, thanks for the reply, no it was different pump but same petrol station. been going to the same station for the past year only happen the last 2 times i also noticed it was fueling up alot slower.

Very strange mate! I have the same car and never had issue including filling up at various french and swiss stations.

Maybe you just had the nozzle in at a slightly weird angle without noticing? I'm at a loss really, just guessing now

yeah bit of a strange 1, had to wipe the car both times now was thinking it could be a problem with the actual tank but i will try fit it in a bit more maybe or something next time.

By the way, latched nozzles (where you can leave the nozzle resting in the car delivering fuel 'hands-free') are not permitted in Europe.

Thank you! that was an interesting article to read. Maybe it was pump or just me not putting it in enough
