new/old m3 steering wheel question
so can anyone tell me the difference between the e46 and e92 steering wheels?
i have been on this forum for a while and i have seen many people putting the ///m steering wheel onto their e9x cars. for reference, i have searched... these are the ones for the e46 m3, correct? http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=127215 http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=45928 http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=99265 http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=72896 |

No, E46 M3 steering wheels would not fit our cars at all. The links you posted are steering wheels from the new E90/E92 M3's. If you have the sports package, you can just buy the steering wheel itself. But if you don't have the sports package, you would have to buy the steering wheel with the airbag, which is the expensive part.

Here is the link to the ebay listing...
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-M...9798QQtcZphoto I just bought the M-technic wheel for the steptronic from him. Everyone on this forum buys from him. I heard he ships quick and product is 100% OEM.

it's surprising that you've been a member since 2005 and not notice one of the most popular mods around. check ebay, also check out Tischer, one of the E90post sponsors, they sell it too.

well people have been using it way before the e92 m3 came out and there were talks about retrofitting the e46 wheel... and tischer only recently started selling the steering wheel
so i didnt know which one they were using, nor was it clear in the threads that i found after searching, hence this thread to the others who answered my question, thanks for your help one last question... does anyone know if they make these wheels with black stitching? |
