That template is really not that necessary and for the price that I've seen them sell for, people are paying way too much. What is it? Like $75? Hell, if people are that lazy, I'll do it for $60 and cut out a brief outline of the trim along with instructions. I had my girlfriend cut the outline of the trim and we did this 'mod' in 30-45 minutes. Mind you, this was as the sun was setting and we were rushing to get this done for an event the following day. Provided we had more time, I would've spent more time on the transitions from piece to piece as well as utilizing a blowdryer as 328i4me suggested. Although the matte finish looks better than the chrome, I think I'll be happier with a black gloss finish. Now that I know what to do and what to adjust, it won't be difficult to apply it again...

This is the only pic I have of the trim right now. Don't mind the other vinyl. BTW, applying semi-decent vinyl decals in windy conditions with no windex is an epic fail...

Jeff,
You is this your second batch of vinyl? If not, you should get a local tint shop to do it for you, I bet they would charge less that $50 for the job.. It would just save the hassle, I could probably do it, but it would most liekly take more than 2 hours , and I don't have time for the bs!

i agree, i actually have to redo mine, the biggest and most difficult area would be cutting the trim. after that its a breeze.

BTW removing the trim is a BIGGG PITA!!!!

Yeah, I'm not looking forward to that. I just ordered a roll of black, gloss vinyl and will have to take off the matte trim soon. I'll probably just let some Goo Gone settle on the trim for a few minutes in order for the adhesive to come off completely and/or more easily...

As for selling trim kits, I was surprised at how many pm's I recieved for the 'kit'...
