Hands Free Phone, no Bluetooth?

Is there any other way besides Bluetooth that you can have hands free phone through radio, even if it is hardwired? I have nav, but not Assist. Driving with phone and manual is down right dangerous, so I turn phone off untill I get to destination. Not answering when it rings drives me crazy.
