Looks like a V10. Should be a V10 based off of all the info we've recieved.

I think it will be hard for Lexus to crack the performance car market. The IS-F is a small niche. Not many people wanting to pay $60k for a tiny car with a V8.

I see the coupe selling even less expecially if it is not a convertible. Although it does look better than the SC lady bug thing they have out.

Lexus buyers are all about cushy ride, wood steering wheels, and reliability. Sport car drivers consider performance first. So if Toyota could not sell Supras, I am not sure how Lexus will sell the next gen Supra AKA LFA.

Hmm, I can see where you're coming from but I think Lexus might have just nailed it. Pricing will be the main factor I think.

First of all, they had the 1st concept then the 2nd concept, and we've seen lots of spypics of the production model. I think it looks great and unique. It even looks like it has the aerodynamics and good proportions.

I think the concepts show that Lexus will be moving away from their more traditional type interiors. Further proof can be seen in the concept that previews the next RX.

Apart from how it's priced like I mentioned above, performance will be really vital here. I'm sure we'll see a V10 based on previous info and I've got some faith that Lexus will have the right powerplant in this beast. Let's not forget that they had that race-spec prototype running around too...

The LF-A will definitely not be about volume, its a halo model in the mold of Acura's NSX. Lexus is trying hard to embrace a performance image (with the introduction of the F-series) and the LF-A will definitely help establish that (also ties in to their F1 experience which they haven't really capitalized on wrt passenger cars).

I think the LF-A will come in sub-150k and will compete well enough with the upcoming GT-R Spec V.

Are the cars being run on the 'Ring for modelling for the upcoming GT5? I see the Gran Turismo windshield header. Also why leave the emblem on the car?

I dont know where you got that from but it's far from the truth. If Toyota were to bring back the Supra I'm almost certain it will sell like hot cakes. Even the previous gen supras are being sought after like diamonds in the rough (and just like diamonds they're super expensive as well). I think the LF-A for Lexus is just to show that they can make a super car.

^^^

I actually like the way the LF-A reminds me of the Supra. I think Supra's still look bloody good when I see them on the road. The interior has well and truly dated but the body looks great.

I was at the N24 last weekend, and having heard the LF-A going round, I can definately confirm that it was running a V10... sounded fantastic.

good man, thanks. How did it look? I was unsure about the proportions but now it looks like a Lexus Supra from the future and I like it. Looking at the pics above it doesnt look like Lexus are messing about on performance either

That was a different time. Back in the early 90's, people refused to spend $50k on a Toyota. 15 years later? If you think the craze over the GT-R is crazy, imagine them making a Mark V Supra TT. If it was anounced, there would be 20 335's in the For sale marketplace section within 10 minutes.

Toyota simply refuses to do it. So we have the LS-*insert letter*

I think performance car buyers are more likely to shop from a larger variety of brands.

For example, look at the C63 or the CLK63BE. I'd bet that the people buying them are quite different from typical MB customers.
