Yes. They use the same parts.

Are you double sure?

On realoem the part numbers are different, after 2007 there is no superceding just new part numbers for the LCIs

Yup pretty sure. Try putting the pre LCI part number in to the part number search only without any vehicle details in. It will give the list of models that number was found for.

For example the link is for the part number search for the front pre-LCI shock:

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/partxref?q=31316786001

Shows Pre and Post E90 and E92 too

Pre and Post is usually just cosmetic differences mostly so the underpinnings are normally the same.

Hmm that's what I thought.

However when I search for the M sport 2005 330I strut there is nothing from 2008:

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/partxref?q=31318036553

Basically want to know if 2010 m sport struts will fit my 2005 330i SE

Ah ok, the reason for that is because some part numbers were only linked to a certain model and unto a certain year (so that part number is upto 03/2007) and then replaced.

If you put in 31316786003 for example which is the M sport shock from 2007:

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...94#31316786001

It shows linked to all:

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/partxref?q=31316786003

They will fit.

Another way to show they are all the same is to check aftermarket kits like Bilstein and Ohlins etc. When you look it will show they are for all the variant and not year dependant.

Example:

http://store.ohlinscoilovers.co.uk/o...e90-2005.html/

2005 upwards

They might have changed the part (I think BMW changed the spring/damper rate later in the model life to improve ride quality) but their size and mounting points are identical.

They're also shared by the 1 Series, 1M, X3 and M3.

My suspension is gone and I had bought a quick replacement M SPORT STRUTS from an e90 320i M sport 2007. Not had a chance to look at anything right now, but was hoping someone with more knowledge could let me know in advance before i attempt to replace them.

Thanks

I just looked on he Bilstein website and compared B4 shocks for 320i and 335d and the shocks have the same part number so both cars must use the same shocks.

Have a look for yourself https://www.bilsteinsuspensionstore.co.uk/info-b6-suspensions

Hey guys, any chance you'd be able to help. My current car is a 2006 e92 325i which was lowered 40mm all round by autovogue, long story short I am trying to raise it a bit and I found these springs from direnza and can't work out if they'll fit my 2006 model as they state they fit the 2007 model onwards.

https://www.direnza.co.uk/bmw-m3-coupe-e90-e92-lowering-springs-front-25mm-rear-15mm

Thanks for any info you may have guys

Eibach Pro springs might be good for you, they give a drop similar to standard M Sport

Cheers, after some further digging on the interwebs I found a thread where it stated that pre and post lci e9x's had the same struts and springs so I could use the ones from a 2007 model on mine. Upon reading that I have ordered the ones I linked above and ill see how they go
