325D Cutting out when driving

My E91 325d M57N2 has just started having a few issues.

The initial start up from cold is horrendous, but I know it needs a Glow Plug module, which I have on its way. (awful diesel knock and plenty of white smoke)

My main issue is when driving along, it will randomly cut out with no warning, doesn't matter if your only driving it gently or booting it, will just cut out.

If you stop, and restart it its fine, may take a little while on cranking but will start again.

I've had the injectors sent off and they have came back all good, the injection pump has been off and checked and thats all good too.

Can anyone think of anything it could be. will not come up with and faults on the ecu when plugged in

Could be a number of things unfortunately but it's good you have ruled out injectors and high pressure pump.

Have a read of this thread of a similar issue to yours: https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1808706

People suggesting could be to do with the bmw recalls regarding the power cable. Another person suggested the in-line fuel pump but i'd imagine that would throw up codes?

My car isn't due a recall for battery cable unless it was done before I got it, I would have thought the same that the inline pump would throw a fault code up
