Look for a spray made by Wurth, it's an air conditioning cleaner that gets rid of the mold. Also, if you use the A/C, before you get to your destination, it's best to turn off the A/C and run the outside air, to equalize the temp of the ducts, but the spray is very effective. You spray it from the outside, removing the environment filter and spray it in while the fan is running on high.

Enviro filter is in the engine compartment near the glovebox, iirc. Changing it will not get rid of this smell. It's from moisture in the AC system that mildews between uses. thekurgans solutions are best.

i had the same smell, i changed the microfilter (probably what they call environment filter above) and the smell was gone. at least try it, even if the smell isn't gone, you get a clean filter
