Is the BMW leather care kit the one to choose?
Hi to everyone. I hope you all are having a great weekend. After reading the form for a while, seems that there is no "gold standard" for the leather products. A lot of people complain about the 3rd party products.
So.. I was wondering if the BMW leather care kit was the way to go. Has anyone used it? That must be a product from another company with a BMW sticker.... |

Use it. Works well, dries non-greasy and soft. Smells good too.
Its an all in one type cleaner and conditioner. It won't clean really dirty leather all that good, but if you start now and use it often I believe thats all you'll need. JOY

Hey, in your sig at the bottom, I would say "offering the HIGHEST quality detailing, or high quality." Don't sell yourself short with just "quality." The work is too good.

I didnt believe all the hype over Zainos Z10 so i went to pick up a bottle myself last weekend. After trying it out, i wont go back to any other leather care. It was not greasy at all and the leather felt like the first day i picked up the car. Only complaint i have is the smell. Some people love and swear by the smell but personally, i dont really like it. Smells like a blend of chlorine and new car smell.

I've used Lexol Cleaner & Lexol Conditioner as well as BMW Leather (currently). BMW leather cleaner is fine for maintaining seats, but I would think there are better products out there for seats which have been neglected.

The BMW product works well. I used that before moving to the Z9/Z10 combo. I do prefer the Z9/Z10 products, as I think they soften the leather a bit more and have a nicer scent. In any case, you can't go wrong with either.

Out of all of the leather products that I've used, I liked the BMW one the least. Zanio > Meguiars > Lexol > BMW

I agree with the Zaino leather cleaner and conditioner. It's not greasy and the leather comes out squeaky clean. Not sure how much BMW charges for their leather care package but I would think Zaino would be cheaper.

Ask FMINUS about the CG Conditioner, I think he may have used it before.

Z9/Z10 doesn't leave a new car smell, but it sure smells good.
