Quick Zaino question
I already have a 3-M polish I use and just want to protect with wax. Which Zaino product do I need? I am not into a bunch of steps to wax my car.
Seems kind of confusing when I read all the searches. |

Thanks. That helps. I am not used to them calling a polish a wax? Polish means to me a liquid with abrasive properties, but it sounds like Z-2 polish is a wax and just protects and give shine.
Sounds like that is what I want. |

Thanks for all the replies. I will have my products before my car even gets here. Well, you know how much fun it is to wax a car when you first get it. Placed my order today. I did buy a little more stuff.
Z-2 ZFX Z-7 Car wash-- I really wasn't happy with what I was using. Maybe this will be better Z-6 Enhancer Thanks again for all the help. Curt |

Well, you living in Toronto, I would imagine the water is a bit softer than Pittsburgh, but I hope I have the same results. Looking forward to using it when I get my car.

If you're using the 3M polish it has oils that may inhibit the Zaino from bonding. To be safe you may want to wash with Z7 after you polish with 3M and before you apply the Z. Just my suggestion.

Yeah, I have some awesome polish to take out scratches already. If it doesn't work as I suspect, then I will make a change. Thanks.

If you have a favorite polish you want to use before Zaino you can simply try a wipe down with isopropyl alcohol and distilled water after using your favorite polish instead of washing the entire vehicle a second time. That might save you some time and a complete step. The principle here is that this spray will clean anything off the paint the polish may have deposited and make it better for the Z.
I have a spray bottle of a 50:50 (iso alc:H2O) mix I use occasionally to see if I'm getting all the swirls out - the mix is used to remove anything that may be fillers. I now use Zaino ZPC Fusion almost exclusively and it allows me to go right to the Z polish as it's compatible. I love that stuff. I notice you ordered Black Sapphire (sweet color) I think and you can be almost assured it will have something you'll want to correct or remove before you Zaino (if you're as anal as I am). Don't get dissappointed by this as it is virtually impossible for the VPC or the dealer to not leave some traces of their handiwork behind. It sounds like you have a good plan to prep before Zaino anyway (plus I find it rewarding to DIY!). I insisted that my dealer not even wash it prior to delivery and they complied. Good luck and congrats!!! |
