Zymol vs. Zaino...
Sorry if this has been discussed but I got tired of looking through thousands of threads that had Zaino hits under search!
![]() I have always been a Zymol fan but have heard great things about Zaino products ever since I got my 350Z in late '02. Do you guys see a big difference in the Zaino waxes vs. a quality product like Zymol or is there not a huge difference? I usually wash my car weekly with Zymol car wash and wax it once or twice a season. Thanks for any input you might have, ![]() oh and as a side note...I learned a trick from a couple car show people a long time ago... for shiny black tires that last try Mop n Glo. Put some on a cloth and rub it on. It will last through several rains and stay shiny. Cheap and easy to maintain! Just be careful not to get it on the tread areas.

Before this thread gets out of control I am going to quote myself.

Now, some generic info for people who may not know better. Zaino is not a wax. It's a sealant. They have 4 of them, Z2, Z3, Z5, and ZCS. All sealants. Not waxes. They alll look good, are easy to use, and will last between 4 and 6 months. Zymol is harder to nail down. They are waxes, but the ones you get over the counter are actually not made by Zymol at all. This isn't to say they are bad, just that they are generally full of solvents and tend not to last very long. Zymol estate glazes (from Concours to Solaris) are waxes, and last longer than the OTC stuff, the looks are subjective. They still don't last quite as long as Zaino. So do I think you'll see a big difference in looks? No. I do think if you order Z5pro (considering you have Montego I would go with Z5 over Z2) you will get more durability out of it than OTC Zymol stuff. |

Almost all automotive paints are baked at the factory, and are ready to seal/wax the day they get shipped. All BMWs are baked, so you're good to go.

Zaino AIO is the easiest to use. If you want ease and speed, get the Zaino All In One.

i have a post in this area about applying zaino.. make sure you put it on really thin...I mean really thin... almost like you arent putting any on. in my post I show some pics of what happens when a N00b (Me) puts on zaino too thick.. the smearing is driving me batty and all I can do is get clean towels and use some z6 to remove my over abundance of zaino.
![]() good luck and post some pics if you use zaino and the steps you did.. I am always looking for more info..
