Help with 335d FRM reset
Hoping someone can help me with trying to get my Driver side Angel Eye back to working. From everything i can read the FRM has probably stopped allowing it to work due to the counter being 50, I do have LED bulbs in and they have been working fine for the last year then it started getting dim then stopped working. Thought maybe bulb so i replaced and no fix
So i do have Bimmer tools app and it does have a FRM reset and cleared the codes which nothing has changed. where im geting stuck is on INPA and Tool32. I can get connected and pull up the FRM_70 but i cannot find anything in tool32 about the counter or for the reset, every post ive found all show the same thing but for whatever reason mine does not show what everyone says to look for IE- "Connect cable to your car, launch Toolset32 and load FRM70.prg (for FRM2). - In the window called Select job: FRM_70, select the job status_lampen_kurzschluss_counter. In the list Results select job_status and the lamp output which is shut off due to short circuit protection. - Send the job to the car using the F5 key. You should get an answer in the Results window and the COUNTER value should be > 0. If COUNTER is = 0 then you didn't select the right lamp output. Try finding the one(s) which have COUNTER > 0. You will look at this value later to see if the short circuit reset-job actually worked. - Now, switch job to steuern_reset_kurzschlussabschaltung. Notice that this job requires one (1) argument: lamp_nr. Lamp_nr is a number 0-255. Enter the lamp_nr to clear in the Arguments list and select job_status under Results. - Send the job using F5. Make sure you get an answer OKAY in the Results window." the stuff in bold does not show up in my FRM_70 on tool32. Not 100% what i may be doing wrong as ive followed all instructions i can find to the T. Also i notice after using tool32 i cannot get back into INPA unless i pretty much reboot my computer or re install the ST212 file from the bimmergeeks standard tools download. Im by no means good with this software but ive used it a few times and havent had issues, this is my first time using tool32 though |
