That looks great. Did you do the fiberglass work yourself? I'm waiting till Spring to mount these. This is a company image. Mine are black just like yours.

Yes i do fiberglass myself.

Those are nice but 5 1/2" i suppose, and be sure to brace and reinforce the panel from inside or else you can expect alot of unwanted noise.

Actually they are 6 1/2 in. They overlap and the middle cut out is recessed so the speaker rims don't contact each other. They have long bolts at 4 points, as well as 4 more screws. I had double-woofer doorboards from this company installed in my e36 M3 sedan. The mid-bass was awesome! I had the entire door sound-proofed with bitumen. It's heavy but effective. I'm anxious to get started on this install, but I'm waiting till the weather warms up and I get some time off from work. Do you plan on keeping the mids and tweeters, or upgrading them?

Wow 6 1/2 well done, as there is so little space.

Im doing the mid and tweeter on the dash, a custom build also.

Prototypes

They're in much better shape now, but i don't have any pics. I shaped them now like B&W nautilus speakers, it looks fancy

WOW! That is a work of art. How long has your car been under construction? What components are you going to use? I'm debating between Morel and Focal Utopia for the doors. I have both laying around from my previous installs but I'm still on the fence. The Morels are smooth and composed, while the Utopia is bright and more in your face. I've got an Audison VRx 6.420 Amp for the door drivers as well as a Soundstream Rubicon 1002 to power the 8 in. Earthquake Subs under the seats.

Good job! I was actually thinking about using that storage compartment for a speaker enclosure myself. Is is going to rattle if I just make the enclosure separate from the door panel (just keep it as it is stock where you can fold it out) and not bolt it up to the door?

If I was to choose between morel and focal, I would take the midbas from Morel and the tweeter from focal as it is best there is.

My setup for front will bet 3 way full active made of speakers Brax Matrix and they will be powered by a Mcintosh MCC406M. There will also be a Alpine IVA d105 and a processor PXA 700.

Subs i will use my old ones JL 10w3v3, installed in the trunk.

Beautiful work. I am planning on doing something similar for a 3 way set of Rainbow Profi Vanadiums. I want to use the h701 and go active as well but I want to keep the OEM nav unit and I hear there are noise issues when using RCAs as inputs. Any experience with this? I'll probably end up going with JBL's MS8 if its ever released.

How do you like the SWS 8s? Im looking at getting a set as well.

Hi, I just PM you the same question RM-6302,

but just in case you do not receive it,I also posted it here...

May I know which company made that door panel for using 3 unit of 6.5in Midbass?
How much is it?
and do they made it for E90 sedan?

do you have their website?

Thank you,
and perhaps some other people here on this board also know the answer... Thanks

Wow! I would love to know where I could get a setup like this! Any pictures of it with speakers installed and all? Curious as to how it protrudes if any.

Thanks
