'07 328xi catalytic converter
Greetings. New member here and owner of a 2007 328xi (90k miles). The car runs great but I am having issues with the check engine light and catalytic converter codes. My mechanic has not been able to provide solid answers on what I need to do to fix the problem...besides saying they aren't sure I'll want to replaces the cats and o2 sensors. I am due for inspection and will fail for obvious reasons.
Any suggestions on where I go from here? Is there anyone in CT that may be able to sort this out? thanks in advance |

Did you go to a BMW dealer? It might actually be fully covered under the 15 year 150k mile SULEV warranty. There might just be some stipulations that the car has always been in a SULEV state or something but i believe anything emissions related is covered. Also, not all dealers are the same when it comes to covering the expenses on SULEV repairs so you probably want to look around the forum to see if there are any dealerships in CT that other people have been successful at. I know Paul Miller BMW in N NJ is great with covering these but it's obviously a trip from CT and not a guarantee either. Best of luck.

I got the car back on Friday and its all fixed...thanks again to all of you. Got it in 2010 and am so happy to not have to replace it.
