What is the USB cable that comes with the car used for?

No i don't feel like searching

What the heck is that random USB cable that came in the glove compartment used for? No, not referring to the y cable used for the ipod.

Thanks in advance!

i use it to connect my hard drive to the usb adaptor.
It's shorter than average cords, so might work better for some hard drives that require a lot of power.

The main reason is so that you can connect thumb drives, etc. that otherwise would not allow you to close the armrest.
