TuneMyEuro tunes/stages
Looking for a little more power (hp as the torque is nice as is) on my 335d. I buy most of my parts and maintenance gear from TuneMyEuro and FCPEuro. But the tunes have caught my eye. I do live in CA with ridiculous regulations on exhausts and mods ESPECIALLY on the diesel cars.
Just curious if anyone knows ab the reliable factors that come with a simple stage 2. I've got 110k miles and I know time chains can start getting issues at 150k. Any correspondence with getting a tune and decreasing the life on my chain. As you know bmw loves to shove the timing chain in the back on the engine. Pulling the engine will be a hassle in my small garage. Just curious is all ![]()

Well these motors have the timing chain up front......but not many instances of chains breaking. Go for it....tunes really wake up the car and make it more reliable and fuel efficient.

Much appreciated, used to have a 740i and the timing was in the rear. Good knowledge lol. Should any simple bolt on's be added I.e intake, exhaust? First time considering a tune so just info gathering

Timing chains in the front or back could be better depending on how one looks at the work being done. Some prefer to pull the tranny and not deal with all the stuff up front. Iron block M57 used to go over half a mil without chain issues. Our aluminum block M57 not so much. Europeans swear that over 190k mi/300k km you gotta do it preventively.
