Back of the Dragon - 32 miles, 438 curves

Hey e90post!

My name is Josh. I'm the proud owner of a 2011 328i and I work with a motor vehicle tourism center in Southwest VA called ‘Back of the Dragon’. We are doing our best to promote our road & area because of the passion each of us share for the beauty of the mountains and the riding experience of Route 16.

We’re always thrilled to see BMWs come through and visit our little town. If you decide to come visit us here in Tazewell County, we’d be happy to welcome you with further info about our town at our Welcome Center. Check out the pictures below for a better visual of what’s here at Back of the Dragon in Tazewell VA. We hope to see you soon!

Great post to remind me to bring the BMW sometime too, I am planning a trip on the Harley once the weather breaks!

Had no idea this was even a thing. You should social media the hell out of this. I thought Skyline drive was about it in Va for spirited driving adventures. When weather gets a little warmer I'm going to hit this harder than my two kid's Virginia Tech tuition hits my bank account...

This is a very beautiful drive up from Marion; it's probably equally beautiful going down from Tazewell. I've also driven the Tail of the Dragon in Tennessee.
