BMW e90 318i no start or crank
hi this is my first time posting on a forum, and only posting since i have been unable to find any solution to the issues i am having.
i have a 2007 e90 318i thats not starting or cranking at all, i had a flat tyre yesterday and stopped and switched off engine, after about 30mins i tried starting my car it made a weird noise which lasted about 30 seconds but didnt crank or try to start. since then i have tried jump starting and bump starting with no luck. i did try connecting to inpa (first time using) in error memory it says A0B4 and also shows codes in DME/DDE 2 erros which are 2f44,2DDA. would like to note the starter motor and battery were replaced less than 2 months ago. any input would be much appreciated, thank you |

Couple of starting points, 1st if you have a spare key try that:
2DDA and 2F44 point towards EWS preventing manipulation. A fault where the EWS (also known as the CAS module or immobilizer) no longer communicates with the DME. Some causes are battery failure or ignition key failure. So try the second key first in case your original has been “lost” in communication terms, also double check voltage from battery while all off, should be above 12v. |

Pinched from elsewhere, nothing to lose in trying:
1. Working from within the vehicle and with the doors shut 2. Turn ignition to position 1 and back to off within 5 seconds. 3. Remove the key from ignition and press and hold the unlock button for 15 seconds during this time press the key lock button 3 times within 5 seconds. 4. Release both buttons. 5. Doors will lock and unlock to show correct programming has occurred. Insert and try starting. If it fails call the dealers for open wallet surgery |
