Well first off, its not like sandpaper in any way. Its like a fabric almost. I went to visit another detailer up in Clearwater and one of the things he's recommended soo many times has been this mesh grit cloth. While he was detailing a black vette, I was able to use it, and was mazed at how it would pull contamination off the paint. I saw the black non-metallic paint under both sunlight and halogens and you could clearly see it left little marring. Farless than marring from an aggressive clay bar.

When I clay, I like to use a sheet of cellophane in order to check for contaminantion. Sometimes, even after claying constantly with an aggressive bar, you feel a little grittiness that will not come out. This mesh fabric eliminates that completely. My suggestion would be to clay first and follow with the fabric.

You can find it at https://www.micro-surface.com

Its the 4000grit mesh. It provides no correction so I would advise against using it like any type of wetsanding paper would be used.
