How many people have experienced cam ledge problems?

New Vanos solenoid. I'm not sure why you cleaned them. They aren't getting dirty. They can't. Very hot oil and high pressure flows through them. Lot more cleaning power than what you will get from a brake cleaner can.

You must have skimmed, I got new solenoids. No luck.

I had a similar issue on my 08 335. I replaced solenoids (Kept having 2a87 code after that), cleaned the check valves on the right side of the engine, changed the oil filter cap and shorter oci. I still had the issue along side with weird idle and limp. Thankfully it went away after I changed my battery. Not fully sure if thats the fix but it did go away after the battery swap thankfully. Its been 15k miles without that code. (183k 08 335xi).

I believe I have the issues. Not confirmed but it's the only culprit left to my codes.

I am in the same boat. Saving up for the parts but I'm not even sure it's a job I want to do myself.
