Lightweight Single mass trans rattle - will thicker oil help?

Hey guys!
I went with solid rubber engine mounts and ECS poly trans mounts to give it a bit more stiffness. I was expecting the rattle so I've raised the idle to 850rpm
I've put redline ATF D4 since it was recommended by many. Now I'm thinking of going with thicker 75w90 to quiet it down a bit.
The rattle on idle is fine, but its super loud on gears 1 through 4.
I don't mind it on 1st and 2nd but cruising on 3rd and 4th is like I've had a straight cut sequential gearbox 🤣 definitely louder than vrsf's street exhaust in this car... Which makes it hard to talk. I know it's something I have to deal with from now on but I just wondered if putting thicker oil would "camouflage" that noise a little? 🤔

This combo helps. You'll have to learn to live with a little rattle or maybe softer trans mounts will help. E46 M3 mounts come to mind.

The ECS poly's are brutal, I ran them for a bit but found them too loud for a DD for the performance they bring. I tried the thicker formula linked by UUC and if it did anything I didn't notice. I literally had friends ask if something was wrong with my car as it sounded like a bunch of rocks in the transmission.

I switched to solid rubber tranny mounts and found that to be a happy medium. For reference I have the tuner motorsports SMFW so it's a bit noisy to begin with.

Thank you! I'll try following that link, I already have the tranny filled fresh with D4, so all I need is to buy a quart of the thick one 😅
If that won't help I'll just turn up the music volume 😂
I really like how solid the mounts are, and won't go back 😅

I have a 50/50 mix of D4 and MTL. That's the mix id do before going to MT90 (75w90).

My 50/50 mix works great in the summer but in the fall when its getting closer to freezing cold starts can be notchy; I cant imagine doing that with full MTL or heavier.

Also you can try loosening the mounts, running it and tightening it once turning it off(if you havent already) as it puts the mounts in their neutral state
