If you are planning to get it, I would get it ASAP... but then you said your aero lip is already all chipped so I would repaint that before you go get a clear bra...
On a side note, if it is chipped that badly, either the paint job is no good or you are driving a little too close to other cars?

I regret not getting it sooner... mine are all chipped and it will look like crap if I do it now...

Most guys on the forum know me, and they know I don't normally recommend people dor work unless I can really vouch for them. Marco (Trova Fortuna on the forum) is the guy that just re-did my clear bra and it's mint. I'd recommend him in a heartbeat.

travelling too close will get ya almost everytime...sucks because drafting comes in real handy with soaring gas prices, LoL. sometimes theres nothing you can do tho, even today making my way into work, some shiat flew across from the other lane on the highway onto my car!
you can always touch up the chips then get a bra...nobody would notice other that you im guessing...just get a buff after youre done filling in the spots. clear bras are supposed to be the shiat, altho if youre going to get one on a black car...you would proabably want to get the entire hood done. anyone know what full bumper, hood and mirrors would cost? roughly. thanks. |

I got a quote, it was pricey....
I was going to do full bumper, hood, mirrors, side fenders, side skirts and the rear bumper.... but then seeing how my car looks now, I think I'll probably be in for a repaint soon...

yeah, you kinda have to pick and choose whatcha want... i would say no to the skirts and fenders for starters then document the damage from that point forward before i went with anything other than mirrors, bumper and hood.
still lookin for a price range |

Perhaps you can PM Trova Fortuna for a quote.

heard having a clear bra looks weird. You can see the line on the hood

If you don't intend to do the hood then personally I'm not sure there's any point, for some reason the paint on my bumper survived winter far better than the hood did, maybe the paint is harder or something, I honestly don't know. Having had that clear bra put on last weekend I have to say it's really really hard to see the line on the hood, you should take a look at a really well installed high quality one, I think you'd be surprised.

If I was going to do it again I'd go hood and no bumper. I have both now so it's cool, but I would definitely not skip the hood. A hood respray is $600 on a good day. Bumper is ~$400, and much easier to match since they don't even match from the factory. |
