Hi

I currently have a 328i coupe, but without the premium sound nor did not get the usb audio option. Does anyone know if I could still install the USB audio option into my car? I hate using the audio input plug and am not really a huge fan of ipod. I'd love to get usb audio in my car so i could use a flash drive or other mp3 player for music and be able to control it using the idrive.

probably retrofit is possible from BMW but will cost stupid money as always.

I have the accessory, post factory, iPod adaptor in the glove box...

You can have it retro-fitted by your local stealer. In the Uk I was quoted £470----thats $928 of your very cheap dollars!
On the basis that we in the UK pay just about twice as much for everything that you do I would guess around $450

Please don't go saying things like that without noting the "but" -- in this case, the USB audio retrofit is only available for the standard head unit, which isn't even available in the US.

That is, unless you have some new information on USB audio retrofit for Professional (HiFi) or Logic7 (Top HiFi) stereo options.

My quotation in the UK for a USB retrofit was for a vehicle equipped with both Proffessional Nav & Logic 7

Really? Now that is news! Do you have part numbers?

The only retrofit I've seen mentioned here so far is the 65410427467 kit, which is only for 662 business audio or 667 "audio radio".

so is this kit for the radios in europe? I have idrive, but not the logic 7, since it's not standard on 328i, so i'm guessing the kit is no good?

There is a US dealer installed iPod adapter but it is NOT USB. The 6FL USB is a factory option ONLY. The USB retrofit that has been mentioned is only for radio variants that are not available on US cars.
