GM has never made a z06 out of usual corvette buyer price range so i don't need to worry however this is the last hoorah when it comes to V8's and corvettes so i think they're going to make this one count. The fact that they're aware a so called "59,000 MSRP" starting price for a C8 stingray can be sold for 100+ used just might make GM rethink their marketing targets. And go after rich folks who normally buy porsche GT cars, ferrari's, mclarens etc and they know they'll sell each and every one of the C8 z06's they make to those people.

However i think GM will still cater to those with no so deep pockets. So 125k is my limit. If the z06 can't start there i'm out and will likely go after the E-RAY (which might be a better street car anyway). But i want that flat plane crank engine so i'm gunning for the z06.

I should be getting one sometime early-mid 2023 since i'm in queue for a 1st year z06 if my dealer gets 200 allocations. And they GUARANTEE MSRP.

So i could literally use it a year or 2, and sell it and still make a profit lol.

My experience is that people are generally insecure and try to show off to make themselves feel better.

When I had my F8X I would have a lot of tuned cars try and tail me, race me, was really annoying (lots of modified 3 series, BRZ types, etc)

In my GT3 it was worse. Lots of folks riding my tail and then blasting past me when I wouldn’t engage.

600LT is an insecurity magnet…I get any sort of “muscle car”, M, AMG, etc revving at me at lights or super aggressively passing me.

Usually I just laugh at them and go on living my life.

If I do that to a super car it's usually because I want them to step on it so I can hear it.

Same. There are more fans of cars as a whole rather than just car people who might be jealous/insecure of what others have.

Whenever i run into a supercar or a car i know that's very fast, they don't wanna have fun. Even if there's room to do a quick pull.

But then if i'm minding my own business, it's always some dude in a lowered infiniti or an M driver that wants to run, with tons of traffic.

I don't get it lol

From my experience the biggest douches on the road are pickup trucks. Usually with confederate flag or other racist stickers in the back. (You know what I’m talking about). And I’m in Massachusetts, they’re even here.

The lifted pickups are the worst. They tailgate and drive reckless and think they own the road. I just get over if one is behind me as I don't want to be in an accident with them

Those smoothbrains are how I know I'd totally fall to the dark side.

lol oh god totally agree.

And also people who drive the typical "undercover cop car" vehicles like chargers (not the hellcats or scat packs obviously), dodge durangos and most of all, ford explorers.

Like they really think they're scaring people when they tail gate you in hopes you'll believe they're a cop and you'd move over for them.

They try to scare me many times but it doesn't work when i just downshift and leave them bus lengths behind. I must be right about my guesses because not a single time have i been wrong and saw the lights flash whenever i do that

Not going to lie, I sometimes can't tell the difference in Explorers. Especially when they have that blacked out front trim.

People are so lame though, pretending to be cops. Get a life

Idk how it is in other states but in NJ, it's rather easy.

Undercover cop cars usually, i say 90% of the time have a license plate that starts with MG (municipal govt) or SG (state govt).

Also cop cars don't have roof racks/rails on them. Plus sometimes if they tail gate you long enough you can spot the strobes or light bar of some sort hidden in their grill, or lack of in this case because people are posers etc.

Stereotypes exist for a reason.

But the region matters too. Craziest drivers I see are in Southern California, NYC area, and Miami. Too many uncivilized people who just don't give a damn. Lot of these folks have no money and are pretending to be rich, vs say a BMW driver in Seattle who likely works in tech and knows how to conduct him/herself appropriately.

Cars that terrify me: Nissans, Dodge Charger/Challengers, pickup trucks.

Oh yeah man, first few weeks I got my g80comp I was at a light waiting to make a left when this crazy kid in an f82 full drifted around the corner past me. It’s at least a 25 degree turn that has two intersecting crosswalks where a lot of families and cyclists cross, luckily the two other kids in bimmers following him didn’t try to attempt the same. Talk about insane, but I’m not surprised given how rich all the parents are out here.
