I did not. After reading that some people thought Bilsteins created a harsh ride, I decided to stay away from Bilsteins all together. Not saying that all Bilsteins are the same- just a personal choice.

Finally got around to doing my installation a couple of weekends ago and I've put a couple hundred miles on them so far. I'm really happy with the results. The ride is a bit more stiff, but not harsh. Haven't had any issues with bottoming out or anything like that. The car feels more planted, too. Pretty much exactly what I was looking for. I didn't do a before/after ride height measurement or pics, unfortunately. I was too hell bent on getting it done haha.

Hope that helps!
Thanks for the update! Did you adjust the shocks off of the default middle setting? If you could share some pics of how it currently sits would love to see it.

I feel like the factory sport springs, dinan, or eibach, plus whatever shock matches like Bilstien B4, and a sportier alignment will get you 80-90% of what you are looking for. And some hankook rs4's.

I want to replace it with something that isn't as pricy as a set of coilovers, but also don't want to deal with a harsh ride.

Other than just going with OEM again, are there any good options? Was thinking about trying Koni shocks with Eibach springs for a slightly lower ride, but only if it will feel as compliant as the factory setup.

Any advice would be appreciated!
I like my B14 bilstein. Not too expensive and no damper needs adjustment, only ride height.
