Navi greyed out, but all else works

Hello all. I recently purchased a used 2011 328i. The Navigation is greyed out. When I use the voice command to ask for directions, it gets stuck at “Starting Navigation System”, but nothing ever happens. I have read through the forum, and cant seem to find this same issue, as all the other functions work fine. Any suggestions? Thanks again!
