Hi all

Got new front tyres today, and when the shop went to do the wheel alignment they said my front control arm bushes are shot.

What do most do for these? I've been happy with the handling of the car, so are the M3 upgrade arms just what everyone does, or is it better to just stick with stock?

Has anyone tried the Super Pro Arms / urethane bushings - they have the M3 alignment specs, and are adjustable for caster. Super Pro bushings are well liked in the e30 community, and I have some in my car that have never been an issue (and lasted 9 years so far) so I might go for those.

I thought the M3 Arm kit transformed the handling in my car, felt much more direct

But if you can get hold of Vince he's very good with the different suspension options and what you do and don't get with each change

Summary is if you have to fix the worn part anyway, head for the M3 specs, don't know about the stock M3 vs the urethane option, I suspect the urethane might be a little harsher, so that would be a personal preference thing

Thanks Hoper. In the future when the shocks eventually wear out, I'll likely go over to coilovers, so in preparation for that I might give the urethane bushings a go. Should last considerably longer than the stock oil filled bushes.
