Carbon Fiber E93 roof???
I jus saw a post of an E92 with a CF roof.... Does anyone know if there is such thing as a CF replacement for the E93's hard-top convertible roof? I'm very interested...

I saw somewhere that BMW is debating on the use of CF roof panels & hardware (along with the roof supporting arms) to lower weight. As opposed to the Steel pieces for the upcoming E93/M3. That would be SWEET!
I try to find the source and post it....

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=128546 His CF roof is an overlay btw. It's not a replacement. I'm sure a skilled person could install a CF overlay on your E93 if you so desired. It's a good question for the best BMW aftermarket shop in your area or if you are so inclined you could venture to try it yourself. Good luck.

It does exist
Hello I just wanted to stop by to let you know that my 2008 E93 M3 convertible came straight from the factory with a carbon fiber roof.
I don’t know if I have the only one that is OEM CF convertible top but I highly doubt it… Thank you |

Ok I clearly see it on that windows sticker, but it never existed, I think it is just a typo on the window sticker like they accidentally left it on the standard equipment list from the coupe as there never was a carbon fiber roof on the E93 M3, if it was standard, it would have a different part number than the 335i but it is the same part number, if it was an option it would be listed and be a bunch more money. On the parts diagram for the M3 there are only 2 part number for each roof section, the original part number and the newer number the superseded the old one, both are the same parts as the 335i or 328i and both steel roof panels.
Stick a magnet on your roof and that will answer the question.
