Back into an N54..new daily

love frequenting these forums to see peoples journals and what they have been up to.
its my second N54 (used to own a 1M few years ago). recently sold my E46 touring and picked up this local E90 335i. has been a great fun daily so far!

the night i picked it up after a quick wash

automatic, 143kms, has aftermarket FMIC, charge pipe and the previous owner gave me catless DPs in a box.
probably the only thing annoying me at moment is the run flats that are on. he literally just put new rears, so ill wait a bit before i swap them.

car came with these aftermarket Eagle eye brand LED tails which looks kinda ok but they are a little faded and i really prefer the look of LCI back. found someone wrecking a silver E90 and a deal was made for boot and tail lights ($350).

before

after (also added 12mm front and 15mm rear spacers)

host an image

then randomly came across a set of BMW Performance Seats which have quite a few miles on them but will come up good enough after a clean, to use and not worry about further wearing out.

will try over weekend to get them in.

couple of pics of my other ride i picked up few months ago off a friend of mine. not into convertibles but got a great deal that i couldnt pass up. have spent a decent amount since getting her, full respray (insurance work), had callipers and wheels done, and currently in shop getting the IMS bearing done (inc clutch, flywheel etc)..

2000, 3.4l, manual. black on black.

Seats are in. (Silly me didn’t check height position and they felt high so need to come out and lower them)

Also this morning got an engine light with reduced power, gear (goes to 3rd only), tyre pressure monitor and Dsc.

Happened couple times and both times at low throttle input like 1500-2000rpm. Weird.

Need to scan it and go from there.

Out of curiosity could weak battery trip that? I do know battery is weak as if I leave lights on 10-15 mins it says increased discharge etc.

EDIT: Went past a battery place and they tested it and say
It’s good. It’s a genuine battery dated 11/18.

So far so good.

I did have battery tested and they said it’s fine. Don’t get the “increased battery discharge” warning usually. Only couple times I leave door open and am doing something on the car for a while. Not sure if that’s battery itself or something else draining it haha
