What upgrades can you for the N51 SULEV? I know the engine isn't made for power but would like to upgrade and prevent whatever i can for the engine to make this reliable, sound good and efficiently run to its best potential. trying to complete this car so i can move onto a project. Any suggestions?

I don't know much about the difference between n51 and n52, other than I believe the n51 is the california version. Here is a link for a discussion about the 3-stage manifold upgrade you can make to these motors:

The N51 already has the 3 stage intake manifold

Headers catback exhaust, euro box and with AA tune you can get 330 power, no problem… but why 🤷*♂️
I’ve had 128, 2x328’s and they’re tremendously handling cars with sufficient power, you can’t be lacking power on public roads and if you want to track it, you kinda bought wrong car

Tracking a n52 is perfectly fine, it’s the auto trans that kills it. My previous n52 Z4 coupe was a blast and had no problems passing n54/55 and M’s
