Can't a locksmith cut you a key, but a key won't start the car, just open the doors.

Have tried Lowe's or HomeDepot?

I do not remember ever getting a key code along with the window sticker. Maybe you have to get it directly from a dealer, if they do not gouge you in the process.

I do not know if Home Depot and Lowes cut European style keys.

Key cutting is by VIN. Going thru the dealership is the best process to get a new key. You have to show proof of ownership and photo ID.

It's saved in CAS Module Memory, and can be read by INPA or ISTA, using following "Path" or Menu Selection Sequence:

INPA > CAS > F5 Status > F3 Status Internal > F2 Read Mechanical Code
My mechanical key code has 10 Characters, beginning with HA

ISTA > Control Unit Tree / Control Unit List > Select Module in Tree or List > Click "Call Up ECU Functions" button on Action Line > Click "Diagnosis Scan" tab > Select "Key" (2nd line in list) > Select "Mechanical key code" and code is displayed.

Can your "Carly" do that?

George
