Lower control arm and ball joint

I have recently bent the driverside lower control arm after I hit a curb a little too fast. Since I had to do suspension work, I decided to do a full front suspension refresh. Removing everything on the side I actually hit was fine but when removing the right lower control arm from the ball joint I couldn't do it. I tried using a pickle fork and a jaw puler but no give. Do you guys have any ideas I could try?

I can usually get it with a puller like this. Put some pressure on it with that puller, then take two big-ish hammers and hit the sides of the tapered fit. Swing the hammers toward each other and try to hit the arm simultaneously; this will avoid stressing the arm too much and still provide a shock wave to spring the fit loose.

I've also used an air hammer but try this first.

I've always just given mine a little whack with a hammer and they pop right now. Theoretically you could damage the knuckle but I've never had to hit nearly hard enough. On my Range Rover, the pullers were no help at all but one good whack and it was off.

whyzee125 Same. Installing the new M3 arms was the hard part. Damn things didn't fit into the slot where the bolt goes through. I had to file the flat surface (subframe) to adjust it then whack it into place.
