i wouldn't consider an autocrossing event the same as a track event.
if you want a real track, you've got a small track at raceway park in englishtown, nj. there's a new track in south jersey called NJ Motorsports Park that is supposed to be open soon. and watkins glen in NY. |

Join BMW CCA and register for a HPDE class. See links below for upcoming events and registration fees.
http://www.nybmwcca.org/school.php http://delvalbmwcca.org/schools.html +1 to NJ Motorsports Park, but good luck because most 2008 events are full by now as this is a brand new facility. |

I went to Englishtown a few weeks ago. If I remember they charge 30 bucks for track runs.
There is a lower fee just for spectators. If you are gonna run you will need a helmet. Some of the guys that were there to run stated that you can get more bang for the buck midweek when there are less people ( you can get in more runs). http://www.etownraceway.com/

The closest (as far as I know) road racing track to NYC is Limt Rock Park in Ct. Various BMWCCA chapters rent the track periodically. There is also a Lime Rock Club (I am a member). BMWCCA does not allow convertibles as far as I know. Lime Rock is closed this month for repaving. http://www.limerock.com If you want more info PM me.
