Xenon lights not working-please help
I recently bought a used 2013 335is . It was not until it had got dark and I was over 100 miles from the dealership that I realized that the headlights were not working properly . All of the lights on the car work including the halos and parking lights just not the xenons . I have been searching the forums trying various solutions and have already tried replacing the bulbs and the ballast . The previous owner has installed after market halos and clearly has done some coding . I'm suspecting that this could be some kind of coding gone wrong . Any help is appreciated . Thanks

Are there any faults stored? If you have NCS Expert you could also read the current configuration, or code it back to factory default. Other options are to start probing with a meter to determine whether the fault lies with the car (no voltage at the relevant headlight connector pin) or the headlights themselves such as an issue with the bulbs or ballasts.
Either way it sounds like the bulb monitoring checks have been coded out if no errors are showing. |
