I've had MHD since 2018, and I've had no issues so far, not even a misfire, with the exception of my old Injectors with odd fuel trims. You have to do your maintenance first though, gaskets, seals, charge pipe, plugs, coils, injectors, any supporting mods etc before you start flashing, otherwise your asking for trouble. You have to also realise that tunes will push the engine and parts around it harder and be prepared for things to fail, although you can minimise that to a large extent by properly maintaining the car. MHD is the best platform for tuning the N54. JB4 basically works by controlling boost and fooling the DME. Standalone ECU's like Syvecs will require seriously deep pockets so forget about them. I do like the fact that it can have engine monitoring functions on the MHD as well. |
