Help on Coding CCC Navigation iDrive?

Hey guys. I was hoping some of the coding gurus on the forum could help me out with an issue I am having.

I have a 2007 BMW E92 335i and recently my iDrive (1st gen - CCC/CCAPL) has been acting up. When I'm driving the car it just keeps resetting and switching from the BMW logo screen and continues to reboot. My screen is working since my backup camera works just fine but no other functions work: radio, satellite radio, navi, music etc.

I have been told that its my CCC unit that is failing and its time to replace it. I am looking for a new/used unit currently but I don't want to pull the trigger unless I know for sure I can code it into the car properly. I have all coding software setup and ready to go plus some coding experience. I know for sure coding is necessary when replacing the unit. I just have no clue on what needs to be coded so was hoping to reach out to you guys to see if you can help. Thanks to anyone who can direct any help my way I appreciate any and all advice.

CCC is definitely bricked, it happens, unfortunately.
If you will find the same used CCC unit then all you need to do is recode 5 modules to default to fit options in IDRIVE to your car. It is easy and will take 2 minutes. You just need k+dcan cable.

Few years ago I had the same issue and I needed to replace CCC unit.

Thanks for the very helpful response. I already have the cable and software setup. Do you know which 5 modules, I have seen a post somewhere listing them but can't find it and also wanted to confirm with someone else. Lastly, how do I confirm the options on my current CCC, is it as simple as just finding one with the DVD+Navi CD combo?

Yes, just find a used one, you probably have it without 1-8 buttons.

If you have a cable then you need to recode CTUNE, CAAPL, CHOST, CAUDI. CGATE.

When you recode units then it reads exisiting VO's from CAS and fit options to your car. Easy!

Awesome cryptomit! Thanks for the helpful posts man they both helped me big time

Now time to hunt down a new unit. Some guy was offering to "fix" the old one for $750 lol. Time to get a new one or look for a replacement unit. Thanks again

Price is out of my budget right now. If I could afford $1500-$2000 for a CIC I would love to. Unfortunately, I won't be able to at this time with other responsibilities nor can I justify spending 1/10 the worth of the car. Rather spend it on a Single Turbo kit which is where my money is going next

Will be sure to update the thread. Probably won't be until about a month since I am not driving the car right now anyways. Thanks again for the help

If it would help, I have a upgrade kit for sale right now for $1250 (includes shipping). Includes HU, screen, cables, controller and USB socket for the glove box.

Will the module with 1-8 buttons still work like the old module? No additional wiring just plug and play and coding?
