Woah... only 140MPH winds. My electric leaf blower does 215MPH and I want stronger.

The leaf blower to dry your car idea is great though. What I do is use it to blow all of the excess water off the car right after washing it. Then I dry it with my terry cloths. If I don't blow the excess water off first, I can put my drying cloth on the hood and not even move it and it will already be soaking wet.

The leaf blower is freakin great for the wheels though. Don't even need to take a cloth to the wheels. Leaf blower does it all.

Do you sheet the water off first? Sounds like you're not! Sheeting the water off before you dry should get rid of most of the excess water.

Heh. That's exactly what I'm doing and what I tried to explain above. Guess I didn't communicate that well enough.

You sheet the water with your leaf blower!?

You can just use the hose.

Haha. Using the leaf blower is more fun. It's always amazes me when I take the leaf blower to the dripping wet wheels and in seconds they are bone dry. No drying cloth needed.

Agree with the wheels. There really is no substitute. It's my favorite part!

I usually just dry the car with a chamois, but when I wax cars, I use the air compressor to blow out all the water from all the cracks and stuff. The wax I use and water doesn't mix very well.
