N55 Tips for Sound
Hello! I recently acquired an E90 N55 from a dealer near me but I found out that it was straight piped, but I think it just sounds cheaply done in terms of sound quality. I have a catless downpipe waiting to be installed but I was wondering about any tips on basic modifications? I love the loudness and tbh the loudest I can get the car the better in my eyes. I’m new(ish) here in the forum so any N55 advice for modifications would be greatly appreciated!

I currently have a VSRF down-pipe with the factory M-sport exhaust setup, to me it sounds good and it has a lot of clean rasp to the N55, hope you find a setup you like. |

Straight piped is not going to sound nice especially with a downpipe IMO.
I had the golf tee mod, stock exhaust, and VRSF downpipe and it sounded incredible on my N55. Borderline too loud for me but an absolute blast to drive especially through tunnels and next to barriers. |

That sounds pretty good!! I'll definitely need to watch a quick tutorial on the golf tee mod, I think I found a forum on here that explains it pretty well, definitely need to do that sometime soon.
