Oil sensor inactive

So, Yesterday my oil level sensor stopped working. I've read a couple (old) thread about this issue but can't find an answer on what It could be. Some replaced the sensor but the problem persisted, others say it's the wiring, some say it's the water pump? Does anyone have a fix? I don't mind replacing the sensor but if it's not the problem that would be dumb.

Sensor typically becomes erratic first.

How many miles on vehicle ?

How many miles since last oil change ?

Is the CBS remaining oil mileage accurate ?

Car has 115k miles, oil change is due. Don't think the service intervals are accurate tbh
