CA Access

I didn't have the time to test this so I thought I'd just ask...

I have comfort access and I am wondering how long after you walk away from the car locks itself? Or maybe the right question is how far do you have to walk away?

Thanks!

You gotta touch the handle inorder to lock/unlock the car.

Perhaps the OP is confusing this with the central locking options. You can set the car to re-lock if you've unlocked the car but didn't open the door. This helps if you do something like unlock your car and then remember you left your 3-month-old in the movie theater.

in a 3 series with COMFORT ACCESS, you touch the top part of your door handle after all the doors and trunk are closed. 3 series with comfort access have little ridges on top of the driver's door and front passenger door handles. touch the ridges on top of either door handles and the door locks.

the door does NOT lock automatically after you walk away from it.

Last night I parked in the garage and deliberately left the car UNLOCKED. Guess what... in the morning the car was LOCKED.

I will have a friend walk away with the key today or tomorrow and see when it locks.
