Surprised this didn't happen to one of my costumers. He had a upgraded hpfp on his b58 and the fuel filter blew into 2 pieces and pissed all the gas out in the engine bay.( upgraded hpfp comes with new lines and a fuel filter) He kept trying to crank it to start and kept dumping fuel into the engine bay

9 out of 10, best you can do is walk away. This December 10 years ago I got burned severely in car fire. I have successfully extinguished fire cause by brakes in the past but fire from electric or fuel are probably not worth trying. Risk is too high.

I'd rather have one than not.........same reason I have one in my house. Might be able to stop a small fire before it gets too big to stop.
What's it hurt to have a $20 extinguisher in your car? |
