Best Bluetooth Audio Solution 2007 E92
I've got a 2007 330i E92.
Pro radio, hi-fi, Bluetooth, USB and Aux. Up until now I have been using the 3.5mm jack connected via the aux on my phone, but new phone doesn't have an headphone jack. What are my options? I'm aware I can get a Bluetooth to aux receiver and plug that in. However the sound quality on these leaves a lot to be desired. It would also be nice to have use of the steering wheel controls. Thanks |

I've been using one of these for the last year and it's flawless:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/264969012514 Audio quality is good, steering wheel buttons work and it connects faster than the genuine CIC/Combox setup in my other car. The only downside is that you are stuck with the crappy radio display but in all other aspects it outperforms the combox. |

I'm probably going to get one of these at some point. I don't want to have to stick my phone on one of those oddly placed phone stands anymore.
I might even commit to pulling half the interior apart so I can fit the reverse camera add-on. |

I would highly recommend of the the MMI boxes you can install, provided that you've got a screen.
I installed one and it transformed the car, still have the ordinary iDrive for when you occasionally need it, but most of the time I just have android auto on. [This one](https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000...aedc4c4d8zgTsP) is the one that I got, which does use the 3.5mm but the sound is great. There is a box that came out last year that uses the optical I think but I don't know too much about it. For £180 and a couple of hours work though I had a car that felt like it came from 2020.

I should have mentioned I don't have nav, or else the complete units would probably have been my preferred option because then you have some decent functionality!
In the end I just went for the tunai firefly LDAC. £35 off amazon. I considered the apple carplay options and going in digitally though the USB port but it gets rather complicated. It seems from my research there are several limitations on audio quality and the AUX port being one of them ( I didn't realise). Anyway long story short the audio quality is good. Steering wheel control ti skip songs doesn't work but that is to be expected. Overall I do think it is good VFM. |

I use the tunai firefly and I really like it. Connects instantly with my phone as soon as the ignition is switched on.
I have an android phone so whenever I want to skip a song I just say "hey Google, skip song" and it skips the song. Don't really need the steering wheel controls. |
