Preowned MMI Prime Apple Carplay - CIC

I purchased a preowned MMI Prime from Ebay. If I take the time to install it will it work when I plug everything in? I'm concerned that there is an activation code or some kind of authorization required in order to prove that you purchased the equipment directly from Bimmertech.

Can anyone who has tried this confirm if it will work or not?

Not likely that there is much knowledge of that here.
Looks like one of those piggyback units from Eonon , Joying or the others.
Recent post say it's and Andream.
You might try the idrive sub forum .
